About Scenic Highways

In April 1923, a group gathered in southern Utah to discuss how to best promote tourism to the national parks. They created the Scenic Highways Association with the purpose of leading motor travel to the splendor found along western scenic byways. Inspired by travel advertising of the past, Scenic Highways seeks to recapture the golden age of motor travel promoted by those pioneers.
